WHAT A COUPLE OF WEEKS!
Wednesday, April 10th ASKA opened for Lizzy Borden (with pals, Lifesize) followed by Friday, April 12th their smack-bang-wallop of a career highlight show with Saxon (with friends, Broken Toyz) only to then get further pounded by Saturday’s show at the Lone Star (Special thanks to 51% and Nectar for opening the show!). Then if that wasn’t enough, they hammered out another metal fisted night the following Saturday, April 20th at FAST FREDDIES in Arlington, TX. It was also a farewell to ASKA's very dear friend and longtime supporter, JIMI CASSIDY. Jimi is moving to Florida and it was unfortunately his last weekend in the metroplex. We were honored that he chose to spend it with ASKA! Jimi, good luck in Florida and let us know if you get us that endorsement with Memorex!

As you can see the new ASKA website is still underconstruction. Bear with us as we get these new pages ironed out! New photos have been posted from the Saxon and Lone Star shows .

If you are reading this you are looking at the brand new ASKA website created by Kilotek.com and ASKA!

It will move a little slow for those on a dial-up connection. Once you have viewed the site, it should cache in your computers memory and move a little quicker the next time you return to the sight.

If you quickly passed the first page, click on the ASKA logo at the top to take you back to the home page and move you mouse over each button to view different graphics. Then of course click on the button to take you to that page. More items will slowly be added to the site as time goes on.

Hope you enjoy the new site and feel free to let us know what you think of the site. Send all replies to

The new ASKA website is now only a few weeks away. Just putting the finishing touches on it and it should be ready to roll very soon.

A big thanks to Terry Simms (formerly of Hammer Witch) for drumming with ASKA at Fast Freddie’s on February 9th and Pat Murphy (formerly of Artesia) for pounding it out at The Keith and George Birthday Bash on the 23rd at the Lone Star Country Club. Both nights were killer! Thanks guys!

ASKA resumes writing for the next album. Still with no permanent drummer they have decided plunge forward recruiting Pat Murphy on the drums for the writing process. No time line for when the album is scheduled for release.

As ASKA continues to audition drummers,

nothing holds them back from rocking! Last Saturday, September 22nd the guys blasted the Canyon Club in Dallas for a charity show called ROCKNSTOCK 2001. A Dallas/Fort Worth touring charity concert series, which teamed up with Feed The Children and the American Red Cross in an effort to collect funds to help transport supplies to the rescue workers at the World Trade Center. Damon Call once again (George's brother), filled in on the drums for an ear pounding set with the guys.
